What to Expect

We are committed to prioritizing safety, working closely with partners, including Genesis Security and the Vancouver Police Department, to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for everyone. On-site supports will be available to attendees throughout the event. The Info Booth & Security Booth are located near the event entrance.

The event is designed to be a safe space for healing, where all members of the community can feel supported, respected, and cared for.

Kapwa Centre

11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Inspired by community care and crisis responses from around the world, the Kapwa Centre supports healing and recovery after difficult experiences. It is a place where people can find emotional support, cultural grounding, and moments of comfort. Here, people can spend quiet time, connect with community partners, or simply be—through spaces such as a low-sensory area and rest and connection lounges designed to support a range of needs.

Community Breakfast

10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Registration required. To start the day, we are inviting the community to come together for a free breakfast at the table. Sharing a meal is more than nourishment—it’s a chance to heal, connect, and be present with one another. Food and healing go hand in hand, and being at the table with your community allows us to celebrate, reflect, and support one another.

Community Engagement Zones

11:00 AM to 7:00 PM @ Community Engagement Zones. Family-friendly activities throughout the day offer opportunities for creativity, connection, and hands-on experiences for all ages, allowing people to engage in an easy and open way. This includes a Rest & Connect Lounge designed to provide space for rest, quiet conversation, and reflection.

Community Art Gallery

11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Experience the works from artists whose pieces reflect stories of healing, resilience, and lived experience. We invite you to move through this space at your own pace, enaging with the art in ways that feel reflective and personal.

Community Wellness Exhibitors

11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Disover amazing organizations in our community who will be there to offer support, care, and resources, both throughout the day and beyond. We aim to create a space for you to connect with people who are dedicated to collective healing and cultural connection.

Reflection Spaces

9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The event will offer opportunities for communal reflection, remembrance, and healing in a safe and supportive environment—including spaces such as the Flower Wall, where individuals may choose to pause, reflect, or leave a flower in quiet remembrance.

Music & Community

12:00 PM onwards @ Lapu Lapu Day Stage. Music will be woven throughout the day. It creates space for people to come together, whether through listening, feeling, or simply being present in the space.

Movement

2:30 PM to 3:30 PM @ Lapu Lapu Day Stage. A community-led restorative stretch session, sponsored by Lululemon, offering a moment for light movement, breathwork, and healing. Those interested may sign up in advance through Eventbrite. We recommend bringing a water bottle if you are participating in this event.

Food & Drinks

11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Choose from an array of local selections. Every food truck at this year's event has a special meaning. They have chosen to return and share the day with community after participating at last year's event. Il Centro also features two sit-down restaurants (La Piazza Dario & Osteria al Centro) and a licensed area for those aged 19+.

In Gratitude and Community

This has been a difficult time for many—within our community and beyond. We recognize that people both within and beyond the Filipino community have been impacted in real and meaningful ways, and we hold space for those experiences with care, respect, and compassion. In the midst of this, we are grateful for the support and solidarity shown by our partners, community organizations, and all who continue to show up for one another with intention and care.

Maraming salamat sa inyong pakikiisa at malasakit.
