What to Expect

Safety

The team is committed to prioritizing safety, working closely with partners to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for everyone. On-site supports will be available to attendees throughout the event. The event is designed to be a safe space for healing, where all members of the community can feel supported, respected, and cared for.

Community Breakfast

10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Registration required. To start the day, we are inviting the community to come together for a free breakfast at the table. Sharing a meal is more than nourishment—it’s a chance to heal, connect, and be present with one another. Food and healing go hand in hand, and being at the table with your community allows us to celebrate, reflect, and support one another. Space is limited, and advance sign-up is encouraged.

Community Wellness

11:00 AM to 7:00 PM @ Community Engagement Zones. Connection and care are at the heart of this gathering. Partners will help create spaces where people can access support, connect with one another, and simply be together in community. Community wellness looks different for everyone. Activities throughout the day offer opportunities for creativity and hands-on experiences for all ages, allowing people to engage in ways that feel right for them, at their own pace.

Kapwa Centre

11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Inspired by community care and crisis responses from around the world, the Kapwa Centre supports healing and recovery after difficult experiences. It is a place where people can find emotional support, cultural grounding, and moments of comfort. Here, people can spend quiet time, connect with community partners, or simply be—through spaces such as a low-sensory area and rest and connection lounges designed to support a range of needs.

Reflection Spaces

9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The event will offer opportunities for communal reflection, remembrance, and healing in a safe and supportive environment—including spaces such as the Flower Wall, where individuals may choose to pause, reflect, or leave a flower in quiet remembrance.

Food & Drinks

11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Choose from an array of local selections. Every food truck at this year's event has a special meaning. They have chosen to return and share the day with community after participating at last year's event. The Italian Cultural Centre also features two sit-down restaurants (La Piazza Dario and Osteria al Centro) and an outdoor licensed area for those 19 and older.

Art & Storytelling

11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Engage with stories through art and connection. An art gallery, artwork, and a hands-on art and craft area offer opportunities to pause, reflect, and connect with the experiences of others, fostering understanding and empathy.

Movement

2:30 PM to 3:30 PM @ Lapu Lapu Day Stage. A community-led restorative stretch session, sponsored by Lululemon, offering a moment for light movement, breathwork, and healing. Those interested may sign up in advance through Eventbrite. We recommend bringing a water bottle if you are participating in this event.

Live Music

12:00 PM onwards @ Lapu Lapu Day Stage. Live music and performances will be woven throughout the day. Moments like a community sing-along offer opportunities for connection, reflection, and shared expression.

In Gratitude and Community

This has been a difficult time for many—within our community and beyond. We recognize that people both within and beyond the Filipino community have been impacted in real and meaningful ways, and we hold space for those experiences with care, respect, and compassion. In the midst of this, we are grateful for the support and solidarity shown by our partners, community organizations, and all who continue to show up for one another with intention and care.

Maraming salamat sa inyong pakikiisa at malasakit.
